CASTING CALL. LEAD ROLES FOR FILM DRAMA.
Film drama based on a short story by D.H. Lawrence.
This is a character study and mood piece, a poetic story of love and
rebirth.
The film has a contemporary (not early 20th century) setting.
FEMALE LEAD
Female lead, a young woman in her mid to late twenties.
The applicant must be very charismatic, compelling, and able to carry a
whole
film. The lead role is challenging, moving from suicidal depression to
transcendent, rapturous love.
We are looking for a Pre-Raphaelite/ Celtic look (for instance, long,
dark
hair, gorgeous eyes). Strong, distinctive, magnetic. A combination of
Lady
Macbeth, Juliet and Desdemona. A Klimt madonna in a white cotton dress.
Cool
and withdrawn on the surface, wild and neurotic underneath.
MALE LEAD
Male lead, a young doctor in his late twenties.
The applicant must be very talented and versatile. Must be able to play
mid-late twenties convincingly, and must be leading man material. This
is a
challenging role, requiring a range of emotions.
The film project has been cast apart from the two leading roles.
Auditions are being held between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Tuesday July 1,
Wednesday July 2, and Thursday July 3, 2003, in Dartford, Kent, U.K.

Auditions will be held in E block. the second building away from the
main
entrance. Reception is in M block. Unfortunately, for some weird
reason, M
block is positioned four buildings away from the road, not beside the
road.
The college is a mile from the M25 (junction 1b) and A2, South of the
centre
of Dartford. The train station is about a mile North-East of the
college. From
the centre of Dartford, walk South along Lowfield Street, about 1/2
mile. Turn
right into Oakfield Lane at the traffic lights and walk another 1/2
mile.
North West Kent College is the group of white buildings on the right.
There is
a NO bus service. From the A2: turn off at the Bexley junction. Take
the South
exit (Bourne Road). Turn left into Vicarage Road (A2018). Straight over
two
roundabouts (along Vicarage Road and Old Bexley Road), into Oakfield
Lane. The
college is on the left. Or you can turn off the A2 at the Old Bexley
Lane
junction, and follow the directions above.
