Cast needed for a Super 8mm short film in North Yorkshire.
Producer Fraser McFadyen and director Richard Purves are embarking on their first collaboration and seeking to form connections with actors for this film and future projects.
'Waiting' is a two and a half minute film to be shot over two days at an isolated bus stop. We plan to seek exposure through film festivals and boost the showreels of all those involved.
This is a no budget production, so we can't pay you any money. However, we are keen to make it worth your while by return favours/payment in kind. Of course we will provide food, pay expenses and supply a copy of the finished film.
Auditions will be held in York city centre on the afternoon of Wednesday the 16th of March. Shoot dates are to be confirmed but will be between 26th March and 8th April.
CHARACTER BREAKDOWN:
1. YOUNG MAN (lead, 20 - 30)
Average Joe. Old enough to have wasted some of his life, but young enough to make amends. The Young Man is beginning to think his bus might never come.
2. STRANGER (supporting role, male or female, 25 - 70)
There's something about this mysterious figure that the Young Man can't quite put his finger on. The stranger has an unsettling presence.
3. TEENAGER (supporting role, male, 14 - 16)
The tracksuit-clad teenager doesn't see things as we see them. He's more interested in his bag of crisps.
