Hello Heather,
My name is Bob Joyce. I have been around in the acting business for twenty years. I think that I could bring a variety of skills to your under 5's animation project.
To begin with, I have a showreel of my voice which would show the timbre of my voice. I have worked in T.I.E and panto and am personally comitted to the very thing you are asking for. I actuallyfind it very difficult to 'talk down' to children. Perhaps I'm one myself! But I have always tried to treat them as equals and I certainly tend to speak to them as an equal. My 'philosophy' in this actually led me to do a one man show called 'kidstuff' which is about a depressed comedian who is cheered by a child's laughter.
I can speak a variety of accents and do'funny' voices. I am used to going into a voice recording studio too, having worked for a company which makes training cassettes/cds for business training, some of which I write the scripts for.
I would askfor a fee of £75.00 per day + travelling expenses. If you are in London, the most this would come to would be £130.
I hope you may be able to see me.
