Marton House, a Bournemouth based video production company, are seeking an Irish actor for a one day shoot. We aim to shoot about 6 four minute improvised monologues so you will need to be comfortable working from a character profile and list of bullet pointed ‘plot points’. There is no word-for-word script as we are aiming for a more natural and realistic delivery that is ‘in your own words’. We would imagine that each scene would be workshopped and run through several times to get to the desired approach. You play the part of a manager of a small company that deals in financial advice. In each scene you talk about one of the challenges facing your company. Your worries about the future or new opportunities that you don’t have time to explore properly. These scenes will then be used in a training workshop for small business advisors. What advice would they give you? The shoot is on the 20th September in Bournemouth. Fee and travel expenses. Marton House has been creating training video materials for over five years. Actors we have worked with previously are more than welcome to apply.
