Anyone else sick of giving up their time to partake in student/short films for no money on the promise of DVD copies and then never receiving them??? I've had enough and as a result will not participate in either no matter how interesting the project may be. The whole experience leaves me with a bitter taste in my mouth having done some of my best performances that I know I am unlikely ever to see. I saw a suggestion on the forum a few weeks ago that everyone involved in low-budget films should ask for a minimum of £50. This is also an idea but not enough for me I'm afraid. We all know that the majority of these projects are not going to be that widely seen and I'm sure that most of you, like me, would prefer to have a copy of your work. Maybe future student/short film-makers could spare a thought for us lowly actors (plentiful though we are!) and when making promises to establish a cast, following through with it would be great!!! Frustrated & Used.
