3 Older Actresses For Short Film

Lucky Strike Productions are filming a short film under the working title of “seven letters”. This short film gives a brief insight into the world of three elderly ladies (playing age 60+) with dialogue centred around a crossword puzzle. This is a naturalistic piece, requiring actors with a good screen presence and the ability to deliver a performance with strong facial expressions, as a lot of what is said is within the subtext.
The project is being pitched for film festival entry to Cannes 2006, but is also hoped to be partnered with a high profile charity who may use the footage for publicity. Actors will be paid of a deferred payment basis, but all travel and food expenses will be covered for the one day shoot. We are expecting to hold screen tests auditions in early December, with the planned shooting within January. Each actor will rceive a copy of the DVD film within four weeks of filming.
Character break downs:
Faye – Fiesty and aggressive, yet a little over sensitive. Self analytical, with a Juidi Dench type of delivery. Larger actresses required, well groomed with attention to make-up and clothes – well presented.
Tempie – Timid yet stubborn character. Easily lead by Leena character, more passive presence in the piece. Very plain and demure presence, but neat and well groomed. No preference on body type.
Leena - Cold Calculating wit, highly intelligent and very adaptable. A tall elegant physical presence, slightly bohemian in dress style.
