CASTING FOR A NEW PLAY
Open audition: 1400-1600, Tuesday, January 10, 2006. All actors welcome.
'Art School' is a romantic comedy set in an art school in London. A
fast-paced, light-hearted comedy in a contemporary setting. A new play by
Jeremy Robinson. It will be performed at the Hazlitt Theatre, Maidstone, Kent,
and the Brook Theatre, Chatham, Kent, in April and May, 2006.
A great opportunity to join a group of dedicated actors, and to help develop a
new piece through to performance.
CAST REQUIRED
Two young leads, male & female, early 20s.
The leads' friends, early 20s. One male (a comic sidekick), one female.
Young students, late teens/ early 20s.
Lecturers: 30s and 40s, various.
College principal, male, 50s.
Probation officer, male, 50s.
Mother of the lead, 40s/ 50s.
An old painter, male, 60s.
A rich, sophisticated art dealer, male, 40s-60s.
Other parts will be played by the cast, including detectives, cops,
secretaries, medics, guards, etc.
