Notes: Aside from the characters below, the remainder of the cast will be Central American of Hispanic and Indigenous descent. The breakdowns listed are for the English-speaking characters in the film. Breakdowns: Valentino the Velvetine (50-65) A manipulator of cultish proportions who arranges an entire village of surviving indigenous, “extants”, to be his slaves, as he calls “children.” He and his reigning band of sophists manipulate the extants by prophesizing the meaning behind a giant fire, which burns mysteriously in the center of the New City after a holocaust. The Brothers Finbar: Finbar the Thin (35-50) A thin, grim type with a hooded cloak accenting his darker features. The right-hand man of Valentino, and the brother responsible for receiving the divinations from a local sayer called The Trout. Finbar the Fat (45-60) Arguably, the most corpulent of the brothers Finbar. His primary duties are leading the execution of the “diseased” by pushing them from a high cliff. Finbar the Dandy (45-60) A high pitched lazy fellow who accompanies The Fat in his executions. He is often seen trying to lay down on what he pretends to be a litter, or feasting on some rotting fish.
