I am searching the site and database for suitable actors for my next project.
My name is Trevor Jones. I am a writer who has recently turned director and I am now shooting low to no budget films within my remit originating from scripts that I have written for myself or adapted on the behalf of others.
I will be obtaining help from members of my filmmaking group based on www.new-writers.com and their associates - however, new members are also welcome.
The next project:
THE CIGARETTE. The location is East London. It is a ten minute suspenseful film noir.
The premise: A young traveller takes a pit stop from his journey and encounters a mysterious stranger who bargains a curious trade for a cigarette.
According to your stats I would like the YOUNG TRAVELLER to be:
Male, 18-25, light to medium build, no taller than 5"10, English speaking (accents are acceptable)
I would like the MYSTERIOUS STRANGER to be:
Male 28-40, heavy build, no shorter than 5"10, English speaking (local accent), dark hair
These types of look will be highly regarded for the project initially, although, essentially the quality of your acting and presence will be considered first and foremost. In an effort to recognise this and be fair this is a paid venture (for actors successful at audition only).
All potential candidates are warmly welcomed and invited to audition. Script pages for you to rehearse prior to audition will be sent to you via email should you confirm via e-mail your acceptance or willingness to attend.
AUDITIONS:
Will take place Tuesday (11th April) and Wednesday (12th April), between 6pm - 10pm near Liverpool Street station (venue TBA to email respondents).
For access routes consider the location as within 5mins walk of;
Aldgate East (District Line/Hammersmith and City Line),
Liverpool Street (Central Line) and
Shoreditch (East London Line) tube stations
