Hanlau Films are now in pre-production of their first feature (working title Mind Games) which will be shot in Norfolk in late October / early November this year. This 90 minute horror/paranormal thriller will be shot on location over 10 days and we are looking to cast the three leads:- Oliver ; late 30’s , a best selling plagiarist in the paranormal and occult. He is charismatic, fairly handsome but can be utterly unscrupulous if it serves his purpose. (must be able to drive a Lotus Seven competently at speed) Ruth ; Oliver’s younger sister. A bona fide psychiatrist. Pretty in an understated way. Clinical except where Oliver’s welfare is concerned. Karen : Late 20’s early thirties. She is the subject of their paranormal experiments. Her mood and character can quickly change from shy and withdrawn to promiscuous. She has a natural beauty as does not need to follow fashion. The producers have already received outline interest for “straight to cable” distribution from the Horror Channel however distribution cannot be guaranteed at this stage. All leads will be paid (but not at Equity rates) and receive expenses, lodgings etc. The crew and cast will be expected to stay at the Norfolk location for the duration of the shoot. Please note that Mind Games has strong adult themes. There will be scenes of nudity and simulated sex involved. The leads may also be expected to handle live rats. Hanlau Films have full public liability cover and relevant insurance All cast and crew will receive a DVD copy of the film upon completion At this point we are inviting CV’s for the leads for the first round of auditions to be held in West London in July. Please do not reply if you are unwilling to commit to ten days on location, are uncomfortable with nudity or the handling of rodents. Hanlau films is shooting “Reco Men” starring Jeff Rudom and Kemal Shahin in May so there will be no correspondence until June at which time those people who will be asked to come to the first auditions will be sent character breakdowns and a draft script.
