Hi Justine, Before you can get any professional work as a stunt artist or stunt double you must, repeat must, be a member of the Equity Stunt Register and to get accepted onto the register you must have mastered 6 of the required disciplines to a satisfactory level of competence. This not a closed shop union thing...it's about making sure the people employed by the TV and Film Industry to do stunts, which to an insurance company perception is deemed an increased risk of being sued if someone gets hurt, the insurance companies demand that only suitably vetted individuals carry out these stunts. No insurance = no film so this requirement is very strictly adhered to by professional film makers. For more information you can contact Equity or check out the following website I found recently that explains the requirements in an easy to understand way. http://www.yamgo.com/stunt_register.html Good luck, Regards, ForbesKB
