Carsick Pictures are casting for a 10 minute short film, shooting on DigiBeta at Camber Sands, South England over Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th July.. We are extremely happy with the script and anticipate it will do well on the European festival circuit. We have promises of post production help from a number of large post houses in Soho so rest assured this will be a high quality production. Above all else we are excited to be making the film and want everyone we work with to share that excitement! 'Underwater' tells the story of an estranged Rockstar and the troubled young Croatian girl who rescues him from drowning. We are casting for the following roles: All applicants must be available for casting/rehearsals in LONDON. 25 35 English Male (Needed Saturday and Sunday) I don't want a clich้d rockstar look, this guy is a troubled genius. More Pete Docherty than Johnny Rotten. Must be a strong swimmer. 20 30 Eastern European Female (Needed Saturday and Sunday)(must be able to speak English and an Eastern European Language). Must be a strong swimmer. 30's Male Eastern European-looking, well built (must be able to speak English and an Eastern European Language) (Needed Saturday) All need to have acting experience. If you have a showreel please send me a link, there'll be much more chance of an audition if I've seen your showreel first. We are paying UKP60 per day, plus expenses and food. Apologies for the low rate of pay, as the film is self funded, this the absolute maximum we can stretch to. We will be shooting at sunrise on Sunday morning so the English Male and Eastern European female will be provided with hotel accomodation near the location on Saturday night (unless you live close to Camber Sands). You will also be provided with a DVD copy of the finished film. You will need to be free for audition and rehearsals in London in the evenings of Tuesday 24th and Wednesday 25th, next week.
