A Pack of Pain – Thriller/Drama
This will be a professional short coordinated by an established and experienced production company. Both our Director and DP have years of experience under their belts and this will be a purely creative endeavour.
The production will be shot in some very dynamic locations in Central East London, based in the Aldgate East area; in old office blocks, rooftops, parking lots and apartments. As shooting will be in London we will only accept casting applications from people who are based within London.
Unfortunately, due to the limited budgetary nature of the short, we can only offer travel expenses for the shoot and of course meals will be provided.
We have access to some great equipment and post-production facilities and the finished product should look great. The short will be doing the festival circuit.
We will be shooting over the 14th, 15th and 16th of March 2008.
Below are the character descriptions for the film:
1.SANJIU – 30 to 45 year old Indian male; will be required to speak English with strong Punjab or other Indian accent (minor speaking part)
2. FRANK – 30 to 40 year old white male; tall and well-built, able to speak with East London an accent (minor speaking part)
TWO PRIVATE INVESTIGATORS
(Sanjiu and Frank perform investigations on behalf of one of the world's leading tobacco companies)
3. MONICA (medium speaking part) – 25 to 35 year old female, very attractive, height - ideally minimum 175cm
ONE OF THE TOP EXECUTIVES IN A LARGE TOBACCO COMPANY
A career women with a highly materialistic point of view. As ruthless as she is driven, Monica has no qualms about using her body to get what she wants, or eliminating the people that she views as a threat.
Important Note: This part will involve partial nudity
4. JOSEPH - 65 to 75 year old male; bright, energetic and able to speak with an East London accent (major speaking part)
GENTELMEN AND SCHOLAR
A pensioner, recently diagnosed with lung cancer, he takes every lonely opportunity to connect with other people who are in the same terminal position as him.
5. STIVEN – 45 to 50 year old male (voice-over part)
CORRUPT GOVERNEMENT OFFICIAL
A corrupt Research and Development official on the take, this part will require a voice over.
6. PRIYA - 25 to 35 year old attractive asian female (very minor non-speaking part)
