CASTING FOR SHORT FILM - LONDON, UNPAID

Fanar productions is an emerging production company working on our first project, ‘A Test of Patience’. The film will be directed by new director David Johnston and has a young, talented team behind it.
‘A Test of Patience’ is a short, romantic comedy. A Student (Daniel) runs a psychology test based on card games, through which he meets Sam. They fall in love and try to overcome Daniel’s peculiar personality. Throughout which runs a current of friction between Sam and her flatmate, who puts aside her feelings for the happiness of her two friends.
The aim of the film is to act as a showcase for the talents of everyone involved. It will be entered for festivals and will be broadcast via the internet.
At the moment we are looking for interested artists to short list prior to auditions TBA in May.
We are looking to cast two of the lead roles:
Daniel – male, 18-21, awkward and geeky, with a fascination with observing people and their behaviour.
SAM – female, 18-21, attractive but in an understated way, slightly geeky. The romantic interest for Boy, so balances him out.
The aim is to film during the latter half of June. So we’d ask actors to be available between the 19th – 30th June. The shoot will probably take seven days.
This is a self-funded project, shooting on DV. As such, expenses can be negotiated within London and refreshments will be provided during the shoot. A DVD will be provided of the final film.
