Treading The Boards is a 6 part no-budget sitcom that we're going to film the pilot (to begin with) in the Key Theatre, Peterborough. The show follows a fictitious resident production group at the theatre and their struggle to produce a play. It'll be released over the internet and pitched to various TV networks based upon the pilot, although depending on the view of the cast/crew/theatre we would like to shoot the entire series. Basically we've started filling the cast, but have plenty more roles to go, some of which are quite major and some are smaller (we also need to fill the theatre with 300 extras for one scene, so plenty of stuff to help with if you're so inclined). The shoot starts on Sunday May 25th and will continue whenever we have access to the theatre, which seems likely to be on a monthly basis, on weekends. We're currently searching for the following roles (more info available on request): Franklin Proctor – 40s - Drunk Scottish producer and owner of the theatre. Henry Proctor – 20s - Son of the producer, with a Scottish accent too. Philly Entwhistle – 40s - The musical director. Loves musicals, or rather in-love with musicals. Jessica Smith – 20s - Attractive female lead. Slightly gullible but lovable for it. + a tonne of smaller roles of all ages, sexes etc. so if you're interested but don't see yourself in one of the above roles, get in contact and we'll see what we can fit in. (We also need dancers and extras, so the more the merrier). Unfortunately we have no money, but if you fancy being involved with a professional group that have a lot of fun while shooting (and are based in or nearby Peterborough) then send your photo and list of previous experience over to James@brokenpipefilms.com Hope to work with you soon! James
