Hi there... I'm planning a couple of short films to air on YouTube and via my website (screen7.co.uk) which will be shot in Cowley, Oxford (UK). There are two productions on the cards, one is a Cloverfield-esque tale of impending danger from UFOs, to be released on Halloween 2008. The other is a simple Enemy of the State style chase short. The main reasons for this are to help me build up my script writing work, although I will also be directing, editing & shooting the projects myself.
These could be ideal for anyone looking for exposure on YouTube, or simply for someone who does not have their acting online anywhere and may want to use this oppurtunity for future use to showcase your talent for future casting agents. Both projects are for fun, they are unpaid. I am looking ideally for anyone who is in or around Oxford and just wants to do a bit of acting one weekend. I am looking for anyone of any age, gender, etc to take up the main roles & bit parts. I am looking for at least 4 actors to make these projects worthwhile. If you are focussed then I would like to hear from you. I expect professional behaviour; if you want to come and create a thousand out-takes, you're NOT the person I'm looking for. These films will be quite challenging. Certain scenes will be shot on the fly and we may get busted and told to move on from certain locations before we get the shot, but this is all part of the fun. If you enjoy method acting & have no confidence issues, you could be perfect for the roles.

First time actors are likely to create those thousands of out-takes, so unless you're EXTREMELY confident you can perform then please do not get in touch! Travel expenses cannot be paid which is why I'm looking for people in the local area -- HOWEVER, anyone willing to come & act for free is more than welcome to apply. Accomodation will be available should we need to spend more than one day shooting. Shooting will occur late July or in August, and will be on a Saturday and/or Sunday.
I run bigphat films & our most popular YouTube video to date is "Smoking Kills". Released on July 1st 2007, when the smoking ban came into effect in the UK, it has racked up thousands of hits worldwide. I plan to make several more films to be released on key dates, ie the one above being released on Halloween. To watch these films simply google "bigphat films".
