On the night of 13-14th February 2010 – 16:00-02:00 Poisoned Light will be shooting our first short film, “Harbinger.” “Harbinger”, is a miniature exercise in suspense and horror, a story about a man who unexpectedly comes face to face with himself on a dark winter’s night. We are looking for a male actor to fill the non-speaking role. Is that man you? We’re looking for an actor approximately 25-30yrs to play the lead in our film. We are not looking for any particular physical type but we are looking for someone with a unique look and presence. In the words of Hunter S Thompson: “ One of God’s own prototypes — a high powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live… too rare to die.” Dark, brooding, cracked, intense, certifiable? Take a look at http://www.poisonedlight.com/blog/ to see the kind of loon we are looking for! To find out more about the film scroll down the blog to the post titled Harbinger to see the script and storyboard. We are a small, dedicated team including co-directors Robin Stanley and Richard Braine and Sound Mixer Robert Momber. Both Richard and Robin are award winning professional photographers, whose work has been exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery, and who are now expanding into narrative driven filmmaking. We will be shooting “Harbinger” on the legendary DSLR Canon 5D MkII, an HD Camera capable of producing beautifully filmic images rivalling anything seen on the big screen. We are shooting on location in Wiltshire. We have no budget whatsoever so cannot pay you but travel, food and a copy of the finished film will be provided. If you’re the man for the job email Robin at contact@poisonedlight.com with your photo and we’ll can take it from there.
