i would like to warn you that this is a moan posting!!!!
I have replied to loads of castings on here but I very rarely get a reply, or when I do they phone to say we want you today, and when I work in a boring 9-5 job, that not really possible.
the thing that annoys me is that you don' get a response from the casting s you have applied for. Even if they were to put one on the forum just saying - thanks to everyone who applied but the roles have been cast - That's not to hard now is it!!!!
UKScreen is a very good website, but I think that some people expect to be cast for the next big hollywood blockbuster from thi site! no offence to anyone!
this site is great to find jobs to gain experience and when you don't get a reply that is preparing you for the real world.
But as most people who post for jobs are not great big hollywood directors, I think a little thankyou wouldn't be too hard!!!
I know that a few of you will post replies to this saying get a life you just weren't good enough, but I can accept that, but its just that it is good old decent manners! espacially when people try so hard!
Oh yeah and while i'm in moan mood! - can people please stop being horrible to other people?
I read replies to messages and some people are just being plain nasty.
one girl wrote about wanting to work behing the scenes and someone responded by telling her to get a life and that is not the way to get famous - we are all in th same boat and should all be as helpful as possible to eachother, and when there are castings that say about a specific person needed, that means that they already know what type of person they are looking for, they are NOT being racist or picky, as someone replied!!!
If you don't like the forum or what is written, don't come back as most people that use this service are very nice, and I would like to keep it that way!
OK, my moaning is now over - sorry to bore you for so long!!! I needed to get it off my chest.
Oh and for those people who sent me photo's for my new agency, I'm afraid I've been a bit busy of late and will have to put it on hold for a few months but, they are all safe in my filing cabnet, so don't worry!!!
