If you live in the south (london area) then I would like to recommend an agency called solomon's. they do gharge a sign up fee of £95 (i think thats how much I paid) but they came highly recommended to me and I have been on their books for a month now and have had 2 extra's jobs from them for well know programmes so I have already made back the money I splashed out. They are very friendly and are alwasy there for you if you need some advice. They only deal in extra work.
I was also very worried about splashing out money but now I am glad I did. I wouldn't give up £200 though as that does seem a bit steep!
Another very well known company is 2020 casting but they also charge a sign up fee. You can pay this upfront OR they can take it out of your first job, but if you do it that way then their commission is 15 instead of 13 (in the long run that does add up). 2020 casting had the contract for Tomb Raider 2 amongst loads of other well know companies.
I have heard of Allsorts and know they are a good comopany but £200 is a lot of money, so please think eriously about it.
If you want the contact details of either of the companies I mntioned, Please let me know.
Good Luck
Sharen
