We are currently seeking head of departments and various other crew members for an upcoming shoot (September 1st) in the Lothian region of Scotland. The short film drama called River Child (approx 12 mins) is written by novelist and screenwriter Lin Anderson and will be directed by Damian Wood. The film is being made as part of the new Screen Academy in Scotland. Expenses will be paid; crew will be well looked after, fed and watered (and possibly even groomed). The director, writer and producer are currently developing a feature together (A Gravedigger's Tale) and we are hoping to continue with successful working relationships. River Child is scheduled to be completed at the end of the year and will be sent to a large number of festivals next year. This is the first posting so most positions are currently available. We are aiming to attach an experienced DOP and Grip as filming will include under water scenes and use of dolly, jib and crane. Damian is a very approachable director and invites input from heads of departments and key crew members at the script stage allowing for and encouraging a collaborative spirit and style of working which continues onto the set.
