We are an experienced Brighton based film and TV production company, recently re located from London to Brighton, and are currently looking for local crew including a Production Manager/Line Producer (depending on experience), 1st, 2nd and 3rd Assistant directors, Location Manager, Art Department Assistants and runners to work on a low budget digital short being made under the Screen South/UK Film Council digital shorts scheme. "Odd Shoe", written by Northern Film School graduate, Clare Bloomfield, is a quirky coming of age tale told through a young boy’s fascination with shoes.
Shoot dates are approx 8th to 11th December in and around Brighton so ideally we need a Production Manager and Location Manager on board ASAP within the next two weeks and committed for the pre production/shoot. Other production crew will be needed in Nov/Dec.
Any suitable candidates who live in South East or nearish Brighton must have the necessary production knowledge / experience and organisational / communication skills required for short filmmaking. Given the very low budget nature of short film making, applicants who have related experience in assistant roles in film/TV, who want the opportunity to move up and gain experience / a credit in these key production roles to further career progression, should apply (expenses are covered). Knowledge of Movie Magic for the Production Managers would be useful but not essential (we can train up any selected candidate). A driving license (a car or access to a car, if possible) would also be useful.
