VAN DRIVER required this week for funded short, expenses

Posted By:  Hare Tortoise  [Click to Contact]
Date: 2006-11-14

The Hare & The Tortoise Productions is immersed in the production of their 15min film 'Wasted Lives?'.
The film has gathered much interest, and received funds for production from SkillSet, BBC, LDA, The European Social Funds and a private investor from Italy.
We are filming on Friday 17th, Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th November.
We are looking for a person to drive the van with which we'll be bringing the equipment to the two main locations where the filming is taking place: Camden Town area and Brick Lane.
The person suitable for this position should have a clean driving licence and be confident to, and experienced with driving a van (e.g. Ford Transit).
S/he is needed Thursday 16th November from midday to pick up all equipment from a couple of places around London (Ealing and Hammersmith) and bring it to the production base (Brick Lane); Friday 17th November to bring all the equipment to the location in Camden, and at the end of the day back to the main location where we'll be filming Saturday and Sunday (back to Brick Lane).
The position is unpaid (we will cover expenses for food and travelling to collect the van and home from returning the van, as well as provide a DVD copy of the final film), though a great opportunity for someone keen to spread his/her contacts within the film industry (although we cannot guarantee a position on future project, we do have paid work in the pipeline), work with a professional crew, and get a credit from a film that involving the aforementioned funding bodies. We will be filming on the brand new DVCProHD Panasonic AG-HVX200.
If you are interested, please drop Daniel an email dgcabrero@hotmail.com. Cheers!
*For the hire of the van both parts of the driving licence will be required unless it is the old style paper licence
