Odd Shoe, written by Northern Film School graduate Clare Bloomfield, is a quirky coming of age tale told through a young boy’s fascination with shoes. Brighton born Paul Cotter, an award winning filmmaker, will be directing. Paul Cotter's most recent short film, Estes Avenue, premiered at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival. It is his third short, following his debut films, the HBO-acquired Jeff Farnsworth and Last Hand Standing. In addition to his film work, Paul is an award-winning commercials director. Having garnered several Telly Award’s for his work on Kitten Spot, he also won an AICP award for his anti-smoking spot Stupid, an ad that is now part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. Paul also directs theatre; recent productions include Donald Lewis's Good Girl for the Bailiwick and Richard Dresser's Wonderful World at the Athaneaum Theatre in Chicago. www.paulcotter.net.
