Hi there, I am currently producing and directing a short black comedy 'Congratulations' which is being filmed over 3 days between 26th-28th May (bank holiday weekend). I am looking for somebody who would be able to help collect materials for the shoot the week before (ideally on Sat 19th) from a couple of places in London before taking the stuff to the location in another part of the city. The car/van would have to be able to fit in art canvasses, the largest of which is four foot by four foot. Please do not apply if your vehicle cannot manage to fit anything that big.
It would be fantastic if the same person would be interested in being a runner/driver over the shoot dates, which would offer an opportunity to be part of a talented, creative group of people putting together a film that will be sent to film festivals worldwide.
Short Synopsis:
Matthew, an introverted painter, lives at home with his mother Marianna, a widow of a soldier killed in combat. Their lives, previously governed by the ritual of meal times, are turned upside-down when Katrina, a beautiful metaphor-spouting art buyer develops an interest in Matthew and his work. With a new competitor vying for her son’s affections, Marianna must go to new lengths to prevent her only child from fleeing the nest.
We are working on an extremely tight budget so we would not be able to pay very much for this position, although, of course, all expenses will be covered.
I hope somebody with enough car space will be up for helping grass roots independent filmmakers, in return for getting some really good on set experience to put on the CV/show reel
