We are shooting 'Elevator Gods', a quirky low budget comedy feature shooting 90 in York. Principle - Aug 27th - 07 to Oct 5th. Written, Produced and directed by Pete Hunt. Pitched as 'Dodgeball' meets 'The Commitments'. Elevator Gods is a high concept, low budget, present day story, of Bradford lad Adam Teasedale - and his quest to reform his 80's Duran Duran tribute band to win cash to save his Bradford nightclub 'The Brad Pit'. They compete against the underworld of the 80's tribute scene such as Spandau Cafe, Culture Pub, The League of Humans, Andy and the Ants, Depeche Vogue, and from Newcastle John Bon Geordie. - In a mighty clash or hair and ego. The star prize of £100,000, is set by two 80's obsessed lottery winners, and will save Adam's bacon if he wins. Paul Brooks - Producer of 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding and White Noise, said the script is "terrific, a great piece of material". Jemma Rodgers - Producer of 'The League Of Gentlemen', said "Chimping is genius" - (comedy element to the script). We are well into talks with EMI Music Publishing, who own most of the publishing rights for the music in the film. EMI requested the promo teaser we produced which is on our website - happyourfilms.com along with the script premise. We now have 100k in our own cash, 300k (in kind). We're shooting on film. This is the most potent Yorkshire independently funded feature in years. DOP is Peter Emery, Production designer Nicola Dietmann. Most locations established so some production problems are solved. We are in talks with a couple of well-known actors but casting is still ongoing with casting director Jo Adamson. With several profiles pop stars interested in cameos. We are looking for a Producer/Line Producer to take over the production role from Pete Hunt. To start Full Time ASAP. Nice free digs available in York if needed. Feature experience preferred. Hugely committed crew of wonderful individuals now assembled and busy in York and Bradford. Thanks for reading. Small wage (and profit participation) with the right experience. Please note. Small wage from an already tight 100k budget. Pathe have read the script and keeping tabs on the project.
