I understand your point and I have said this before on other forums. According to current goverment ruling you have to be paid minimum wage for a shoot, otherwise it is considered voluntary, which as we both know is unrealistic on a film shoot. If you are their to shadow you cannt fo anything wothout it violating the terms of the agreement. Bectu is currently fighting this and is trying to stop it happening, However it won't stop until people ae more aware of it. I have been doing film, fashion and more for years and some of the hteatre crew I know find it absolutely disgsting that Ihave been asked to work for free. Yes we all have to learn and need expereince but I know students who refuse to work for free now. I am not saying don't make films I am asking that people are aware that we all have to earn a living, that skills and services have to be paid for. James
