It's a vicious circle. As an actor you need plenty of material to show a casting agent in order to get the work — but you need the work to get material for your showreel. Even actors with long records in theatre can struggle if they don't have a showreel to offer casting directors. Sure, you can get a friend with a camcorder and shoot something yourself; but all too often it looks... like you got a friend with a camcorder and shot it yourself.
Here, at last, is a professional, affordable way to try and break the cycle.
An assortment of original scenes, consisting of multiple characters, giving you the opportunity to explore and express your range and talent, directed and edited to highlight the best of your ability. The shoots take place on weekends to allow actors with other commitments the opportunity to get involved.
The scenes are written and directed to represent actual film exerts (not screen tests) to give your showreel an authentic look. We use experienced, professional crews, with many credits to their names in film, TV and music video/promo work, to ensure your showreel makes as professional an impression as possible on everyone who sees it. We shoot on location, using a range of cinematic styles and camera & lighting techniques, to underpin the variety of the material.
The footage is then sent direct to our professional editors. We have a small pool of tried-and-trusted post-production companies, who use the latest facilities to professionally edit your showreel, tailoring it to your performance, and built from the ground up with the specific aim of selling your talent.
We aim to have your new showreel complete within 28 days of filming, delivered to you by registered post on video DVD (or the format of your choice). Your showreel will also be professionally hosted online, for easy world-wide access (from January 2008).
And all for a total cost of only £395.
