RED ONE camera Seminar

“Seeing RED: the future of Digital Cinematography”
FDMX and ANGLIA RUSKIN UNIVERSITY SEE RED
FDMX and Anglia Ruskin University are hosting a free public seminar featuring the RED ONE camera, a revolutionary High Definition Digital Film Camera.
This seminar, organized by Saint John Walker of FDMX (The Film and Digital Media Exchange,) will be the first one of its kind in the UK and aims to demystify the new technology of digital cinematography. With only a handful of the RED ONE cameras in Europe, it is an exceptional coup to have secured one for the “Seeing RED” seminar.
The RED ONE camera has been utilized with great enthusiasm by the likes of Steven Soderbergh (director of ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ and ‘Traffic’) and Rodney Charters the cinematographer for ‘24’.
The 4k digital camera is capable of capturing more than twice the resolution of previous models of High Definition camera, something Peter Jackson (director of ‘The Lord of the Rings’ and ‘King Kong’) has discovered with zeal, “It looks like film…The result is like shooting in 65mm, like the old epics.”
But the joys of the RED ONE will not be limited to internationally renowned directors, as the RED ONE is much less expensive than other cameras, it will also mean that High Definition will be within reach of all Indie film makers.
A select group of broadcasters, film and video companies and camera operators will have the opportunity to see this camera at close quarters, at the Cambridge Campus at the Anglia Ruskin University.
The day will start with the free public seminar at the Arts Picturehouse in Cambridge, led by 4K London, specialists in digital film and owners of the first RED camera to reach the UK.
After the public seminar there will be a more specialized ‘hands-on’ event for professional Camera Operators and other industry professionals at the Anglia Ruskin University.
