This is my debut feature film as a Director and I am looking for the following crew to join me on this unique adventure.
Title: Balkans (working title)
The Story: A journalist infiltrates the Balkan Mafia in London and meets a young prostitute who desires to escape and become a singer. The themes of the film include the Balkan, British and international Mafia, prostitution, sexism, the music industry, parties, undercover police investigations and journalistic malpractice.
The film is essentially plot driven. The characters in the film portray hope, courage and despair with an emphasis on the driven, wicked and eccentric. The script in its third draft and is subject to change.
Crew/Production Wanted:
- Lighting Cameraperson: Preferably (although not necessary) owns camera equipment (HDCAM/RED/S16 mm) and lights (portable) and is happy to film and light.
- Sound Person: Preferrably (although not necessary) owns recording mixer, boom and mic. Responsible for sound on location during production.
- Location Manager: Has contacts who can find free locations in and around London including bars, car, nightclub, bus, mansion.
- Assistant Director: Will help initially with casting to include making notes, contacting actors (if possible) and organisation.
Budget: Extremely low budget at present, although I hope to raise funds during the course of this year and next year.
Payment: As you will be a volunteer I can offer you travel expenses and a profit share upon completion of the film.
Shooting Schedule: The filming will take place in and around London during 2009 and is entirely flexible (1-4 months of filming on an ad-hoc basis). Late evenings, days and early mornings will be required.
Shooting Format: HDCAM, S16mm or RED

About me:
Graduated in European Studies with French and reached middle management marketing. Also have a dating advice site - www.whatwomenwant-tv.com. Then decided to change career direction and pursue a career in films and media. Worked on films, commercials and TV and made a short film "Metrosexual" (featuring upcoming talent from "Harry Potter", "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and top acting schools) which has been distributed worldwide.
