Please ignore that last message! working behind the scenes is a great way to get to know about castings and screen tests etc, because you will gain great contacts if you work for a good company. Ulrika Johnsson started her career as a secretary for GMTV, and then she became their weather girl! Obviously most people don't get lucky, but you will make great contacts, and everyone knows that you have to constantly work your contacts! Working behind the scenes is also great experience for you as then you know not to treat the crew badly when you have made it cos you will of been there!!!! If you are looking to get a break through the back door, this type of thing normally works best for people wanting to be presenters, as the director/producer etc get to know your personality, but from an actress perspective, I'm not sure if it would work. A Producer from SKY told me that the best way to get into tv is to become a runner or Admin Asst, so don't let anyone put you off. Good Luck
