You have exactly three days to shoot, edit, and complete a feature length

The 72 Hour Feature Project is an international competition for film and
video makers who have the ability and drive to finish production and
post-production on a feature-length motion
picture in three consecutive days or less. As Director of the festival, I
believe that great things can be motivated by near-impossible deadlines.
With good planning and a concept or script which facilitates haste, new ways
of making will emerge. So if you?re willing to take the challenge, and
strive for both artistry and efficiency, the 72 Hour Feature Film Project
could be one of the most rewarding feats you will accomplish as a maker.
We are inviting proposals from every corner of the globe. These must be
submitted in English by March 28, 2003, along with the official entry form
and entry fee. Only twelve film/video makers will be accepted to
participate. Every proposal that is accepted, and goes on to successfully
meet the 72 hour deadline, will have a well-deserved world premiere
screening at the 72 Hour Film Festival in Chicago, USA in June 2003. Makers
will receive an official certificate of completion. At the end of the
screenings one movie will be chosen by our judges to receive a Grand Prize
and cash award.
There are no restrictions regarding content, film or video format, nor the
experience level of the maker. This can be your first feature or your 50th.
You may submit treatments for movies of any genre, style, theme, or concept
you choose. Autonomous vision will be favored over expertise.
This is a unique opportunity to challenge yourself creatively, and to
compete among an international group of motivated and inspired film and
video makers.
