Hi Kayleigh - we've been making horror films for the web for a few years and funding has always been a big issue. It's sensible to try and use actors from the local area to keep down travel costs. And always try and use locations that won't cost anything! If we do have to put a cast member up in a hotel room for the night, we'll use it as a location at the same time. You could always try and recoup costs after the film is made by selling VHS or DVD versions to friends, cast and family. And why not send a press release to your local paper about wanting funds for your film? The publicity could well attract the attention of a local film fan who'd be happy to pay some money to get an "Exectuive Producer" tag on the end credits! Best of luck with your movie anyway and may it be the first of many.
