Are you a filmmaker? Do you have a feature movie you are seeking distribution for? Are you New Talent? If you have answered yes to above, I may hold a solution for you. I am involved with a new digital on-line movie site to be launched on the 21st July 2008 and we are looking for New Talent feature movies to be presented on the site. The beta site is operating and you can check it out at www.digiFlick.net. Anyone connected with making movies already knows the Digital Evolution is changing the world of film. Low price digital cameras allow low budget productions to have a big budget look. Computers can be used to create special effects from an armchair and DVD’s bring surround sound, wide screen blockbusters into the living room. The Digital Evolution moves forward, with digiFlick with 24/7 streaming movies available on the web. Already, the Indy Film Co-op, based in Indiana, is producing three Movies to be serialised on the most world-wide recognised digital platform there is; the Internet. The Indy Film Co-op is the first production company to make movies specifically for presentation on digiFlick’s 24/7 digital service. Shooting is completed on the first production “Blood Moon”, a Sci-Fi thriller written specifically for the Indy Film Co-op by UK scribe Stuart Price. Producer Andrew Stevens said, “The web is re-shaping the nature of the business of movies, I believe digiFlick and their offerings represent the cutting edge”. “digiFlick is an example of where film distribution is heading. Other sites have had success with "pay per view" types of markets, and with digiFlick, it goes a step further by creating an environment where new filmmakers can reach a broad audience”. Jim Dougherty, Director of “Fresh Air”. The second of the three movies slated by the Indy Film Co-op. The Indy Film Co-op is a group of filmmakers brought together through the web with a common interest in having fun while making films. The proposed “New Talent Channel” on digiFlick gives them and other filmmakers the perfect platform to present their work to an International audience. In addition to presenting your movie digiFlick can present the trailer with a link in the trailer that takes the viewer directly to a sales office for purchase of the DVD. digiFlick – Get The Picture.
