He is a specialist in media financing, structuring and co-production, Alan has consulted on projects in UK, Europe and North America advising on international film structuring and how to untangle the requirements of the world's leading production jurisdictions to optimise the mix of fiscal incentives, subsidies, currency and crew variables. Alan has lectured all over the world for organisations including UCLA Film School, PACT, UK Film Council, Strategics and SPADA. He has also contributed to several text books on film and TV financing. Micro budget filmmakers break rather than follow the rules of conventional production. They are using new digital tools that are steadily and constantly evolving. At the same time they are testing the limits of the technology, they are also experimenting with style and form and storytelling within the constraints of a low budget. During this session Emily will explore the process involved in creating a micro budget film and sources of finance available. Emily Corcoran is from Cork Films and has recently released her award-winning feature film Sisterhood. View Booking Page for Micro Budgeting ________________________________________ VFX and Titling Workshop This hands-on workshop is designed for independent filmmakers and editors who want to create interesting and engaging titles, credits and idents for their projects without the expense of hiring a graphic artist The taster session will cover the use of Final Cut Pro (FCP) and Apples Motion as well as touching on basic 3D animation and visual effects to pull these sequences into high impact pieces.
