I am looking at the work of the new film councils (regional) Has anyone received support from these institutions. I am talking commercial film. not shorts. I applied recently and got turned down not because of the project (I have some pretty good attachments) but because my social inclusion policy was only 'average to good' and did not score any ...extra...points. I am keen to learn what this has to do with film making? and wondered if anyone else has had this happen. I believe that if they are really set up to promote film making. they should realise that putting a film together and getting it financed is tough enough and to base everything on a policy that is so stringent and has nothing to do with film making makes it even harder rather than supportive. I am going to try to get this looked at for the future and could do with similar stories. Unless its only me. I can be emailed info@harwyn-p.co.uk
