Richard is correct in regard to going for it regardless of one's age and experience. Your pursuit must be relentless and you must try to gain as much experience as possible. Everyone started with no experience. Having said that, there are certain things to avoid on this site such as appearing needy by using words such as "struggling", "hopeful", etc.--you get the idea. Don't bother telling everyone what a wonderful personality you have or that you're willing to work. All that should be assumed. While one may not have professional experience, it shouldn't prevent putting forward as professional appearance as possible. Fuzzy, cloudy pictures don't cut it. It's best to use a full body or facial shot. Also, unless you're looking for directing or tech work you MUST have a headshot. If you can't afford to go to a professional film/theatre photographer try to take the best home shot you can and use that while you are saving your hard earned coins for the day when you can go to a professional photographer. Whenever possible consult with people in the business about anything above. Just my two American cents.
