"they only wanted to take on 200 out of the 500 they auditioned" How discriminating of them! The were willing to settle for scamming a mere 19,000GBP instead of the full 47,500. There are companies and agencies specifically geared to preparing reels, photos, mailing lists, etc and you will be much better off doing your own research and assembling the parts yourself. There are plenty of publications and other advice on the Internet regarding marketing yourself. A legitimate agent, manager or management company earns its money by GETTING you work not by taking it directly from your pocket. Try a little experiment. If they're so wonderful and legit they should be happy to produce a list of their "satisfied customers". If they get huffy about producing such a list, tell them to--how can I put this delicately?--bugger off. Anyone else reading this message who has information (especially personal experience) regarding this management company should post it here or contact you through the system.
