Room For Pudding Theatre Company once again invites actors and directors to an introduction taster workshop October 13th 2007. This is followed by a block of six workshops running every Saturday 27th October - 1st December 2007 acting as an extension and more indepth exploration of workshop and rehearsal methods covered in the taster session.
These workshops are intended as an introduction to the ethos and techniques of the company for those looking for an opportunity to flex their acting muscles, brush away the performance cobwebs and to meet like-minded performers and Room For Pudding company members. We are particularly interested in those looking for future long-term collaboration with the company with an interest in practitioners such as Lecoq, Grotowski, Michael Chekhov and Boal.
For further information on the company and our upcoming projects visit www.roomforpudding.co.uk
To apply or to find out more, email CV's (with headshot if applying as a performer rather than director) to roomforpudding@hotmail.co.uk with 'TASTER WORKSHOP' or 'SIX WEEK BLOCK WORKSHOP' in the subject line. Those who previously attended our taster session are welcome to apply separately to the six week block otherwise it is advisable to attend the taster session first. Application can be made solely for the taster session with no obligation to attend the block session. Sessions are £10 each, running from 11-4:30pm. Attendance is by invitation only.
Feedback from previous attendees:
" It highlighted the ways in which the company will work and does work. I got the feeling that the Company as a whole is very organisied and knows in which direction to take when working on material ( Physically ). The interaction was fabulous."
"...the barriers I was able to break down as an actor during the session was due to how well the workshop was organisied."
" I gained a really good sense of how you three work together and it was also good to chat to other performers (networking!) "
"...you have a very fun and free way of working. "
"(I gained) Improved concentration, attention to physical detail, listening and overall focus."
" I really enjoyed the variety of exercises which we were given - many of which I hadn't done before."
"(I gained) A massive amount! I hope there are many more workshops like this to come. I would happily attend on a regular basis."
