With a fanfare in March 2006; Debbie McGee (wife of famous magician Paul Daniels) trumpeted her new model agency; expounding that with her knowledge of the industry; together with her partner Sue Simons; they were sure to be more than a puff of smoke - in the entertainments industry. Sue Simons even went along to one of the scam hotel venues by rogue agency ‘Rondevous’ (RIP) and proclaimed “I was appalled by the whole set up.” And just to prove the point Debbie McGee Models promptly started doing interviews at hotel venues; promising work opportunities. Oh and if you didn’t have a ‘portfolio’ then the agency could take your pictures at the hotel… for only £125. Wow!!! What a coincidence. Hang on a minute didn’t Rondevous offer a similar promise. Yes I know that Rondevous have now closed down and that sets them apart from Debbie McGee; or does it. Well it looks like the magic has definitely gone out of the Debbie McGee agency; because it has closed down its website; it is no more. So what about all those who paid the £125; and got no work; perhaps they’ve disappeared too!
