Hello, We are a london based theatre company currently rehearsing for a production of Lysistrata. We are looking for a percussionist to perform live with us. You would be accompanying two songs and generally helping to build up atmosphere in key scenes. You will have alot of artistic license, creating the music yourself with guidence from us and a certain amout of improvisation and sponteity would be great. You will aso be very visable and present in the performance space. We are currenty in the process of applying for funding, but i'm afraid no guarentee of payment can be made at this stage and it would only be a small sum in any case. However it will be a great experience, you would be respected by the group and given lots of creative freedom, have lots of performance exposure, and we are a really fun group to work with. We have a week's run already cofirmed at The Brickhouse on Bricklane, 10th-16th July and are currently seeking other venues in July but after these dates, both in and ouside London. You would need to be available for all the performances and some of the rehearsals before, but everyone in the company has day jobs and we normally rehearse evenings and weekends.
