We've got a neat idea, two production companies interested, provisionally committed crew, interest from a number of potential cast members... ...but no script yet. So we're inviting treatments from potential screenwriters. In a nutshell it's a BlairWitch-esque (in terms of documentary-style camerawork) haunted house movie, about a bunch of people in a big scary house who get drunk and may or may not live to know better... Budget's low (5-6 figures), and we're after scary rather than gory. Come September we'll pick our favourite treatment, and then we'll want you to develop the full screenplay. The plan is to have the script complete for the beginning of the new year, so we can start pre-production for a Spring/Summer 2006 shoot -- with post-production complete and the film available for sale/distribution in Autumn. As far as money goes: * there will be a small fee for the winning pitch; * there will be a bigger fee for the final screenplay, payable at the start of Principal Photography; * and then another final lump sum paid to the writer(s) as & when the final product is sold.
