Thomas Elliott Email: gogox78@hotmail.com Changing Minds Synopsis The script starts when Thomas is a young man going to university. For some reason partly due to the big event that university is this is where his mental health problems start. He hears voices ; people saying hello in his head and sees things ; he sees blue energy fields around everything and has delusions ; he thinks people are after him then goes back to his parents house where he is depressed. He gets off with a friend of his. He starts writing things in a book and he becomes more depressed and eventually he is suicidal. He gets his dad to take him to the edge of a cliff where he tries to jump off but can’t. He has an argument with his parents and he is sectioned for the first time. He doesn’t say he is mentally ill and gets out. Then he moves to the city where he is very lonely in a bedsit, his mental health problems come back and get worse and he starts having delusions; he thinks gangsters are after him ,seeing things; he sees peoples eyes glowing diff colours and hearing voices ; he hears all the people in his bedsit building in his head again. During his stay in the city he visits a couple of prostitutes and has a fling with a girl. After a year of living in the city he is done over by a gang who beat him up, steal £2000 from him and threaten to kill him and almost kill him with a knife. Then he lives boringly for a year at his dad’s flat and then he makes new friends who come round to his new flat. He starts becoming depressed again. His mental health problems come back and he is suicidal sitting on top of various cliffs thinking of jumping off. He ends up being sectioned then his health problems go away. Then he goes out at 2am and gets arrested by the police for no reason. Then he goes to a cliff and thinks of jumping off. Then he almost takes an overdose that would have killed him and goes to hospital for a couple of months. Then he takes 50 of his medication tablets and passes out but the medication is overdose proof.
