Question

Why do “want-a-be” producers and directors treat scriptwriters the way they do?
‘Will you look at my idea for a movie.’
‘Can you help me develop my script, I’m not a writer.’
‘Can’t pay you but you’ll receive the credit for the script.’
‘Looking for my next movie, please send your scripts to. . . ‘
The script is the foundation of all movies. I wonder if they would take the same action regarding the foundation of a house they build?
You get what you pay for. Not even a plumber will fix a leak for free.
So why do you value scriptwriters so poorly, if it was easy you would be doing it yourself.
