(About Me)
I have always enjoyed writing & I'm currently trying to get my first fantasy novel published, I was until recently represented by a large literary agency in the US who very nearly got me a deal two or three times, I have since dropped them & I am now trying a different approach to get it into print, its going ok.
(What I'm Looking For)
I also enjoy writing comedy, I have a few ideas which I would like to work with & get them ready to be performed if possible either on stage or on radio, I cannot do this on my own & so I would like some like minded people to work with me so we could work together and make the best use of the material, I think my material would work best on stage as there is quite a few visual gags but I suppose it could be reworked to suit the radio instead if necessary, my main aim is to create/build a successful stage show then if possible take it to the Edinburgh fringe festival I would really love to do that!
My influences are Monty Python, Garth Marenghi's Darkplace, The Mighty Boosh, Crazy Train, The Day Today, Red Dwarf, Blackadder, Take-Over Tv, Bill Bailey...
If you fancy joining a small team of people (There's only me at the mo.) and writing/performing comedy then send me an email & advise me of the comedy you like to watch/write and what you're long term aims/ambitions are.
At the moment its just me & a few potentially good scripts so I need people to come in help me work with the ideas I have throw around a few new ideas of their own & get the material up to the best standard it can be so it can be performed, I have a contact that could get us a gig at a small local players theatre & I'm sure props, costumes wouldn't be too much of a hassle to organise, I also have some contact names & addresses for people who work for the BBC submissions department, I also have names & addresses for submitting material to be broadcast on BBC radio aswell so those could come in useful.
