screenwriting comp deadline fast approaching

Okay, just over a week to go before the deadline. Got your script ready?
Last year there were just over 100 entries and this year we want more! Surely you can write and submit a 1-3 page script between now and the closing date of Feb 15th? If you don't this is what you might miss out on -
You could be one of the twenty shortlisted writers who get to attend a two day workshop on how to further polish your work and build a career in film and TV.
Yours could be one of the nine scripts short listed by the jury of film experts. If so you will get the chance to meet the jury and discuss your work.
"And the winners are...!" Your script is chosen as one of the three winners. You get to meet with the director, develop the shooting script and attend the set during the shoot.
You get to dress up and attend your film's premier as it is screened to the public and industry guests during the Edinburgh film festival in June.
Then it is on to the celebration party where you are presented to the industry and press.
Over the following twelve months your film is submitted to national and international film festivals.
The 20 shortlisted scripts will also be published on The List web site, giving the writers and their work further exposure.
So what are you waiting for? Get writing, get it submitted and make 2008 the year you were a winner instead of a dreamer.
