I am 27, I have been working at BSkyB for over five years, since August 2001. I currenlty work at Sky TV in Broadcast Operations. I aim to become a TV presenter for news, weather, current affairs and youth TV or radio. I am a very bubbly character with a loud personality. I was chosen as one of five finalists on ITV. 'This Morning' held a competition called 'Weather Idol'. 20 people were chosen for auditions. Siann Lloyd, Rex Roskilly and John Roseman were the judges. They chose me as one of the finalists. The public then had to phone in and vote for their preferred presenter. Only one was to win a years contract with ITV to be a weather presenter. I have had many doors opened up to me now, so I am in the process of sending out my excellent showreel. I had to present the weather live from the famous floating map in Liverpool, and live in the studio, while the public phoned in to chose the one they liked most. This was my first ever audition, and to be chosen as the first finalist I was chuffed to say the least. In 2004 I got through to the final 11 in a compeition for Sky staff. It was called Sky Talent Search. I was sent on a weeks tv presenter training course at the National Film and Television School in Beaconsfield. The main winner was Denise Nurse. Bless her. She is now presenting Sky News Weather. Well done to her!!!. She deserves it. |
