About:
|
I am a Cantonese/Chinese actress born and raised in England. I am currently rehearsing for the UKTT Middle East Tour of A Midsummer's Night Dream where I will be playing Puck. I previously appeared in the Steam Industry's productions of Treasure Island and Children of Hercules in The Scoop's Open Air Season. The company have also staged versions of the Nativity, Androcles & the Lion, Agamemnon and Oedipus at the Scoop, of which I was also a part of. Other work with Phil Willmott and the Steam Industry are: The Woman in the critically acclaimed productions of The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui at The Bridewell Theatre and Yuki in Around the World In Eighty Days, BAC. Television work includes: Casualty and Richard & Judy. Film work: Mrs Wang - The Vampires of Bloody Island, Mrs Chang in the short film Human Cargo, the story of the Chinese immigrants that suffocated in the back of a van in 2000 as well as corporate work with Deptford children for the Hyde Housing Association. Previously, I directed the original Cantonese / English bilingual musical; When Yellow River Meets The Thames with the Islington Chinese Association and am currently writing a new script for them in conjunction with The Arts Council. I am a trained singer with a three octave range and strong belt and have had singing tuition with Mary Hammond and Jonathon Rees.
