WWW.JONNIEHURN.CO.UK London based Jonnie trained at the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. With a penchant for creating challenging characters his recent film and TV work includes an unrepentant sex-offender (Bad Girls - ITV - dir. Julian Holmes), a lascivious crippled step-father (Penetration Angst - dir. Wolfgang Buld), an anarchist turned assassin's pimp (Too Many Bullets - dir. Simon Fortescue) and a video-documenting post apocalyptic survivalist (The Zombie Diaries - dir. Kevin Gates). Jonnie has also worked consistently as a Voice Over artist on Radio & TV and was 'The Station Voice' on Radio One's Sony award winning idents. He has also presented on music radio and once fronted the band Curfew. Jonnie wrote, produced and starred in the feature film 'Animals' screened at Cannes 2003. In 2007 he wrote the feature "Do Elephants Pray?" which shoots Autumn 2007 Dire. Paul Hills) and he has recently completed develoment on the feature screenplays 'Take Down The Union Jack' to be dircted by Paul Hills (Boston Kickout, The Poet) for Dimarco Films, and 'Another Man's Rhubarb' to be directed by Dougal Porteous for Perfect Films. He is currently writing 'The Beyond' with director Matti Beramsingh for Medusa Road Films. Jonnie has a Kevin Bacon number of 3. |
