A professional actor since 1968, Nigel trained at the old Sheffield Playhouse, under Colin George. He subsequently worked in Rep, The West End and Tours, playing a variety of roles, comic feed and chairing Music Hall. Recently Nigel has performed in tv, film and commercial media. Roles include the defence barrister in Channel 4's Dispatches: "Date Rape", directed by Howard Bradburn, the TFI vampire and a variety of cranky and insane characters in pop videos such as Elbow's "Powder Blue" and Kosheen's "Hide". Nigel completed a BBC 'Learning Zone' series for director: Myfanwy Marshall, who states: "Nigel maintained Positive Iinner Dialogue at all times!" Recently, in the highly acclaimed BBC series, Nigel played the enigmatic HOWARD CARTER for director Carl Hindmarch in "The Discovery Of Tutankahmun's Tomb". Nigel is comfortable with loud outward characters or the quieter, stranger personality. He can improvise upon the plethora of human situation and BUILD!.
