About:

Born and raised in England, Ying Cheng’s first steps towards acting began with a course at the London Academy of Radio, Film and TV in the summer of 2003. A few months later he started to be cast in support roles in TV, film and commercials. His first film role was as a Bhutanese prisoner in Batman Begins, directed by Christopher Nolan in early 2004. Towards the end of 2004, he then appeared in Guy Ritchie’s Revolver. Mid-2005 saw him in the Untitled Woody Allen Fall Project 2006 directed by Woody Allen. Later in 2005, Ying landed a major role in an IKEA commercial to be screened in Finland, which is his biggest part to date. His last assignment in 2005 was Ridley Scott’s A Good Year. In January 2006, Ying stood in for Japan’s top footballer Hidetoshi Nakata in a Canon commercial (Japan). Whilst Ying is predominantly based in London, he is happy to travel and always looking to learn and take on new challenges.
